Your role

  • Conduct research and prepare a doctoral thesis in epigenetic control of neuronal identity
  • Carry out cell culture experiments (incl. epigenome editing) with iPS cells and differentiated neurons
  • Perform functional genomics experiments (also at single cell level) and contribute to their computational analysis
  • Communicate research results in international conferences and journals
  • Work constructively towards collectively defined research goals together with colleagues and collaborators
  • Contribute to the teaching activities at the University of Luxembourg

Your profile

  • A master's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or related discipline
  • Experience in experimental lab work and cell culture. Previous experience in epigenetic analysis will be an asset
  • Strong interest in bioinformatics and computational analysis will be an advantage
  • Self-motivated, strong commitment, and ability to work in a team
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
