We have an exciting opportunity for two Research Support Officers to join the University’s Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE).
The Research Support Officer provides research administrative support for key initiatives within Research and Innovation Services, including support to colleagues across the department in co-ordinating funding enquiries, funding opportunities, training and development opportunities for staff, and ongoing project management.
The role also involves providing professional project support to academics throughout the full project lifecycle. This includes costing support, maximising grant funding awarded, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines from the application stage through to award and post-project closedown.
As a Research Support Officer, you will have a degree or equivalent qualification in a finance-related subject, or significant demonstrable experience and 2 A-levels. You will have experience working with various funders in finance within Higher Education, a research infrastructure, or a similar institution, along with demonstrable knowledge of funding body audit requirements. You will also have excellent IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
