Your Responsibilities

  • Independent research in the field of psychotherapy research or clinical psychology (development of one’s own research profile is actively supported), as well as participation in research projects in the field of psychotherapy and psychotherapy research with a focus on CBT
  • Independent teaching averaging 4 semester hours per semester in the field of psychotherapy and psychotherapy research
  • Development of independent project ideas and project proposals
  • Acquisition of, and participation in the acquisition of, competitive third-party funding (FWF, FFG, EU)
  • Supervision of students working on bachelor’s and master’s theses
  • Participation in regular team meetings, supervision, and intervision
  • Willingness to serve on university committees and participate in evaluation processes

Your Profile

  • You hold a degree with a “very good” grade in psychotherapy (science) or a related field (e.g., psychology, medicine, education, sociology, philosophy, theology, teacher education, social work)
  • You have earned a docotral degree
  • You have relevant practical and academic experience in psychotherapy research
  • You have experience in publishing in peer-reviewed journals
  • You have didactic skills and teaching expertise in the field of psychotherapy
  • You have experience applying clinical assessment tools in research and teaching (e.g., SCID-5, CIDI, DIPS)
  • You have a good understanding of quantitative research methods (e.g., regression analysis, linear mixed models, structural equation modeling, multilevel models)
  • You are proficient in using one or more common statistical analysis software packages (R, SPSS, Mplus, Python, etc.)
  • You have a very good level of English
  • You demonstrate a strong interest in the research priorities in the field of Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy Research (CBT)
  • Reliability, commitment, and strong teamwork and communication skills are required
  • In addition, ongoing or completed training as a psychotherapist with a focus on behavioral therapy is desirable but not required

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
