Your Responsibilities
Writing and defending a dissertation in the field of sustainability research / environmental systems sciences
Working on inter- and transdisciplinary research projects at the institute, conception and implementation of research projects
Presentation of scientific results at (international) conferences
Writing scientific publications and publishing studies in international scientific journals
Collaboration in science communication activities (Science2Public) in the context of climate change, sustainability and human behaviour
Teaching courses and assisting with teaching and examination tasks; supervision of students
Your Profile
Completed diploma or master's degree, preferably in one of the following fields: Environmental Systems Science, (Environmental) Psychology, Sociology, Environmental and Bioresource Management or Sustainable Development
English and German language skills at C1 level
Interest in science communication (Science2Public) and transdisciplinary research
Interest in working on current research questions at the interfaces of sustainability research and human behavior; e.g., on discourses of delay against ambitious climate policy, resistance to biodiversity measures, just transitions, decision-making in the context of climate change and sustainability or social innovations
Experience with research methods in empirical social research, sustainability research or transdisciplinary research (desirable)
Experience with quantitative or qualitative data analysis or systems science modeling skills (desirable)
Interest in working with stakeholders in regions and organizations
Independent working style and initiative, strong teamwork and organizational skills
