Your Responsibilities

• Investigation of the impact of the extracellular matrix on cellular processes associated with diseases in order to develop in-vitro models for the identification of drug targets
• Synthesis of structured hydrogels as cell substrate for controlled cell growth
• Synthesis of photo-activatable amino acids for optogenetic studies
• Synthesis of nanoparticles
• Contribution to research in mechanobiology and independent performance of necessary chemical syntheses
• Study of project-relevant scientific literature
• Contribution to scientific publications
• Co-supervision of master students
• Participation in teaching

Your Profile

• Completed Phd in life sciences (biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacy), bioengineering, or related field
• Very good command of English
• Good skills in German (desirable)
• Knowledge in (bio)chemical methods, cell biology and microscopy, as well as quantitative analysis (desirable)
• Ability to teach independently (desirable)
• Scientific creativity and curiosity, as well as very good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and goal-oriented
• Self-initiative

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69,060.60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
