Your Responsibilities
- Working on the FWF research project “Manipulation of anti-lymphoma drug action by fatty acids” (https://dx.doi.org/10.55776/PAT9018824), where we are teaming up with project partners from Germany and Switzerland to look into the possible risks of taking omega-3 fatty acids on how well chemotherapy works. The focus is on analyzing molecular mechanisms of cancer signal transduction and ferroptosis in cell cultures and animal experimental samples, as well as collecting and evaluating multiomics data.
- Interdisciplinary research using bioanalytical, cell biological, and molecular pharmacological techniques
- Writing scientific publications
- Preparation of a project-related dissertation in the field of pharmacognosy
- Guidance and supervision of students in research activities
- Active participation in conferences, workshops, and training events
- Contribution to science communication activities within the scope of the project
- Assistance with organizational and administrative tasks and evaluation measures
Your Profile
- Completed diploma or master's degree in pharmacy, biochemistry, molecular medicine, biology, or related subjects
- Basic knowledge of analytics, cell biology, signal transduction, and molecular pharmacology, ideally with a focus on bioactive lipids
- Practical experience with standard biochemical and cell biology techniques (cell culture, WB, IF, qPCR, FACS) and/or chromatographic (HPLC) and mass spectrometric methods (LC-MS/MS) is an advantage
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Very good IT skills (MS Office, data visualization, statistics programs)
- High motivation, team and communication skills, ability to work independently

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.007,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
