Research-teaching Assistant

Focus: research-teaching staff

Duties:

  • performing teaching duties for full-time and part-time students according to the schedule (teaching on selected weekdays and selected weekends)
  • performing organisational tasks related to teaching (creating syllabuses, archiving student work, issuing marks, meeting with students in the form of consultations/duty hours)
  • willingness to perform assigned functions and organisational tasks in the Faculty
  • involvement in organisational work at the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw
  • participation in meetings of the Department of Social Psychology and meetings of the Practical Social Psychology specialisation team
  • taking care of the development of teaching competences by participating in internal trainings organised by both the department and the university, e.g. during the Week of Teaching Competences
  • supervising student placements in social psychology
  • publication of scientific and popular science articles

Requirements:

  • master's degree in psychology
  • having knowledge and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, with a preference for the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents or the diagnosis and treatment of addictions
  • min. 1 year of experience in teaching in a higher education institution such as exercises, workshops or seminars or several years of experience in conducting professional trainings, workshops and trainings
  • fluency in the Polish language
  • computer proficiency and willingness to learn new applications
  • declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work
  • readiness to conduct classes also on weekends

Nice to have:

  • willingness to teach in English will be an added advantage

Formal criteria:

  • scientific achievements - 5% of the final assessment
  • teaching achievements – 65% of the final assessment
  • organisational and practical achievements – 30% of the final assessment

Date of commencement of work: October 1st 2025

  • CV with a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements (with direct reference to the eligibility criteria stated above), as well as including 
    a description of other professional experience and interests
  • a scan of a document confirming the attainment of a scientific degree
  • a statement confirming knowledge of a foreign language at the required level
