Assistant Professor
Focus: teaching
Faculty of Psychology in Wrocław
Department of Clinical and Health Psychology
Teaching hours: 360 hours

Duties:
Teaching area:
- performing teaching duties in full-time studies and part-time studies, in particular, teaching specialty classes in the field of clinical psychology, health psychology, directional (core) subjects and master's seminars
- supervising internships
- preparation of course documentation, e.g. syllabuses, lesson plans
- assessing students' assignments and work, providing them with feedback and archiving these materials
- completing data in the information system supporting the teaching process
- participating in the graduation process, in particular, reviewing master's theses and participating in diploma examinations
- coordinating assigned subjects, including the work of other lecturers in preparing classes
- conducting consultations with students
- improving teaching competence by participating in internal training sessions organized by both the department and the university, e.g., during the Week of Teaching Competence
Conducting research:
- popularizing among students the results of research and scientific projects, especially those conducted within SWPS University
- taking care of constant contact with science by participating in scientific meetings and events devoted to issues related to the teaching activities and following scientific publications in this field
Organisational area:
- participating in meetings of the Department
- readiness to perform assigned functions and organizational tasks in the Department
- organizing and participating in projects carried out by the University, the Faculty and the Institute
- participation in activities promoting the University, the Faculty and the Institute
- representation of the University, Faculty and Institute in environmental bodies
Requirements:
- master's Degree in Psychology
- at least one year of experience in teaching students and preparing teaching materials
- fluency in English and Polish
- readiness to work also at weekends
- research interests in the area of cognitive psychology, individual differences and psychological research methodology and statistics
- scientific publications (in JCR-listed journals)
Nice to have:
- experience of conducting teaching classes in English
- experience in obtaining funding for research projects
- social experience (NGOs, volunteering, etc.)
- expected submission of PhD thesis in 2024

Required documents:
- scientific CV with a list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements with direct reference to the eligibility criteria given above
- a copy of documents certifying the attainment of a master's degree in psychology and a doctoral degree in social sciences in the discipline of psychology
- a statement confirming knowledge of a foreign language at the required level
Formal criteria:
- scientific achievements - 20% of the final assessment
- teaching achievements – 50% of the final assessment
- organisational and practical achievements – 30% of the final assessment
