The Department of Built Environment has a vacancy for a full-time (100%) position in structural engineering. We seek an innovative, creative, and responsible individual who can contribute to teaching, research, and development. The candidate will also collaborate with departmental groups to conduct interdisciplinary activities.

Applicants who do not have adequate proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, shall be offered Norwegian courses, and must acquire Norwegian skills corresponding to at least level B2 within three years of appointment.
General criteria for appointment to teaching and research positions are set out in the Regulations relating to Appointment and Promotion to Teaching and Research Positions (FOR-2006-02-09-129), cf. transitional rules described in Section 13.2 of the Regulations relating to the Act relating to Universities and University Colleges.

The position is remunerated in accordance with the Basic Collective Agreements (Hovedtariffavtalene) for state employees and OsloMet's salary policy in position code 1011 (associate professor), corresponding to NOK 615 700 - 745 000 annually. A pension contribution of 2% is deducted. Higher salary may be considered for exceptionally qualified applicants.

Applicants lacking basic university pedagogical qualifications must achieve this within two years from appointment. OsloMet provides a course in university pedagogy covering this requirement.
