Description of the research activity:
The project involves the integration of TLS data and stable isotope analyses to investigate forest stand structure and ecophysiological processes related to resource-use efficiency in forest trees. The relationship between forest structural organization, biogeochemical dynamics, and functional efficiency will be assessed through field measurements conducted in experimental sites dedicated to the study of biogeochemical cycles, combined with subsequent laboratory analyses. The resulting data will be used to characterize the resilience of mountain forests to anthropogenic climate change.
