Description of the research activity:

The research activity will focus on the basic and applied topics of Electrical Engineering, concerning components, systems, technologies, and materials related to production processes – from traditional or alternative sources, with cogeneration and storage – to transmission, distribution, conversion, and use of electrical energy. The research methodologies are those of electrical engineering, such as power electronics, aimed at studying the static and dynamic behavior of electrical components and systems, as well as those of control devices and systems, automation processes, and mechatronics. The studies extend to the management of conversion processes in energy systems for industry, transport, and the tertiary sector, as well as to the methodological and applicative aspects of reliability, quality, safety, and economy.
