The Architecture, Urban Design, and Engineering (AUDE) unit in the department of The Built Environment (TU/E) is looking for an enthusiastic lecturer. (Docent)
In this role, you will be part of our teaching team, contributing to both our Bachelor and Master tracks through lectures, design studios, group projects, and thesis supervision.
Your main responsibilities will include teaching, supporting students in their academic development, and engaging in innovative teaching approaches.
Additionally, you will be involved in the organization of courses and learning lines and may be asked to contribute to the organization of the unit and the department by participating in committees and other organizational groups.
The Department offers a comprehensive, research-oriented Master of Science (MSc.) degree program within the broad field of the Built Environment. Graduates go on to work in diverse professional areas, such as architecture, urban design and planning, building physics, installation techniques, construction, real estate management and building production.
The department is also a research institute comprising various laboratories and four research programs in which high-level research is conducted.
The AUDE unit (Architectural and Urban Design and Engineering) is one of the four units
making up the Department of the Built Environment.
The unit consists of five chairs namely, the chair of Architectural Design and Engineering (ADE), Rational Architecture (RA), Smart Architectural Technology (SAT), Transformational Architecture (TA) and Architectural History and Theory (AHT).
Spatial design is both the raison d’être of the unit as a whole as well as the binding force between the chairs. The ambition is to work in a cross-disciplinary context and expand the collaborations within the faculty and the University as a whole.
