JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION 
We are looking for passionate and talented PhD candidates with proven experience in organic synthesis and multi-step synthesis. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative research environment to advance scientific projects involving energy storage in organic batteries. The applicant must have a solid training in organic chemistry and a passion for innovative and analytical thinking. In particular, the PhD student will be working on the rational design and synthesis of new nitroxides as organic redox electrolytes with improved performances. One major focus will be to better understand stereo-electronic effects driven their capacity fade and to explore new chemistries. There is a current high interest in industry to recruit PhD scientists with experience in energy storage and organic chemistry skills.

Key responsibilities

• Synthesize and characterize a library of innovating organic molecules 
• Interpret independently experimental data and present results 
• Develop and/or implement new synthetic methodologies

• Strong theoretical knowledge of organic synthesis and chemical transformations
• Proven experience in multi-step organic synthesis
• Outstanding organizational skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Gross salary: 2200 € / month, including health insurance

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED RESEARCH FIELDS, REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, OTHER RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS 
You should hold a Master’s degree in organic chemistry with a training period in multi-step organic synthesis of at least 4 months.
