The position of a Senior Scientist (40 hours/week) is currently open at the Faculty of Psychology starting with October 1st, 2017 (initially limited to 5 years, with the option of a permanent contract upon positive evaluation). The main area of responsibility for this position will be the new Biochemical Laboratory of the professorship of Clinical Psychology of Adulthood, which has to be supervised from two different locations (Liebiggasse 5, 1010 Vienna, as well as Dr.-Bohr-Gasse 9, VBC 5, 1030 Vienna). The holder of the position will be responsible for the development and co-management of the Biochemical Laboratory. Successful applicants possess, in addition to profound, subject-relevant competencies, as well as competencies in research and management.

Your area of responsibility includes: (1) Development of the Biochemical Laboratory; (2) Organization and co-management of the Biochemical Laboratory; (3) planning and conducting empirical research in the field of stress research; (4) acquisition of third-party funds.
Doctoral degree in Psychology with a focus on stress research; practical experience with the analysis of biochemical stress markers; competencies for the development and co-management of a biochemical laboratory; proof of empirical research activities within the field of stress research.
