The University of Luxembourg and ArcelorMittal created the ArcelorMittal Chair of Steel Construction at the University of Luxembourg.
The PhD-student (Doctoral candidate) will work under the guidance of a professor on a research theme and will also contribute to education in a certain extent. She/he should finish the work with a doctoral degree in engineering science.
The ArcelorMittal Chair of Steel construction researches in steel- and steel composite structures. The foreseen research project deals with the investigation of steel-composite structures and the respective failure behaviour. The different influencing parameter have to be investigated. Experimental works in the laboratory and numerical analyses with the help of scientific computational finite element programs have to be conducted.
