The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki invites applications for two
for a permanent contract, starting from April 1, 2019 or upon agreement.
The biostatisticians will join the Biostatistics Unit where they will assist in the planning and execution of AMCH research projects, including especially in the interpretation, analysis, reporting and publication of the results of the projects. They will also assist in teaching of biostatistics at the Faculty and affiliated Doctoral Schools.
To be a competitive candidate you should have completed or nearly completed a Master’s degree in a suitable discipline (e.g. statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics or a related discipline). You are a master of the most important statistical methods of medical research and statistical software tools and fluent in written and spoken English. Work experience in biostatistics, medical research and biostatistics consultancy, experience in teaching and Finnish language skills are appreciated.
Salary will be based on the Universities salary scheme for other staff, composed of both task specific - between levels 7 and 10 on the requirement scheme - and personal performance components. The salary is determined by the qualifications and work experience of the applicant and varies from 2 400 to 4 800 euros. A trial period of six months will be applied.
