Professor in the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences

The person selected will join the UOC's Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences as a professor in the field of speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities:

UOC faculty, in their respective fields of expertise, promote and direct distance learning. Particular attention must be given to the preparation of programmes of study, course contents and teaching materials, as well as the supervision and coordination of students' learning processes. Faculty members are also responsible for driving innovation, especially in terms of the methods and techniques used in distance learning and the research activities in their fields of expertise.

The successful candidate will be awarded an open-ended, full-time contract. Scheduled start date: as soon as possible.

The place of work will be the UOC's 22@ centre: Rambla de Poblenou, 156, Barcelona.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Speech Therapy. PhD in areas of communication, language, speech, voice, and hearing and/or swallowing disorders.
• University teaching experience in communication, language, speech, voice, and hearing and/or swallowing disorders.
• Professional experience treating communication, language, speech, voice, and hearing and/or swallowing disorders.
• Advanced office application skills.
• Written and oral expression skills in Catalan and Spanish.
• English language skills at CEFR level B2, ie First Certificate equivalent.
• Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• A high level of initiative, and organization and teamwork skills.
• A continuous improvement approach.

Also of interest:

• Papers published in international journals in the field of communication, language, speech, voice, and hearing and/or swallowing disorders.
• Experience managing and participating in research projects receiving competitive funding.
• Experience in the university sector.
• Knowledge of the UOC's educational model.
