Opportunities for two post-doctoral scholarship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation are available under the scope of Thematic Project “Study of new biotechniques for reproduction of canines and small ruminants”.
Each scholarship is linked to a specific subproject. Vacancies are open to Brazilians and foreigners who have received the title of doctor for less than 7 (seven) years in the field of Animal Reproduction. Selected candidates will receive Post-Doctoral Fellowship from FAPESP in the amount of BRL7,373.10 and Financial Reserve to meet unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity. More information is available at http://www.fapesp.br/5427.
One will be responsible for the subproject “Characterization of alpha-adrenergic receptors of ewes' cervix during estrus”. The purpose is to investigate and characterize alpha-adrenergic receptors of ewe during the estrus, using immunohistochemistry techniques and contractility studies, so that the knowledge about this muscle can allow further studies to be carried out on greater cervical laxity to facilitate intrauterine access and thus increase AI efficiency and pregnancy rates, in addition to animal welfare, from the decrease of invasive techniques.
One will be responsible for the subproject “CEUS in uterine evaluation of pregnant sheep”. The purpose is to evaluate the hemodynamics of the uterus and placentomes of pregnant ewes using contrast-enhanced ultrasound, proposing unprecedented patterns of normality for the technique in healthy animals and with possible gestational abnormalities.
The selected ones will also be involved in the other related projects of the thematic project, being essential exclusive dedication and experience in the areas.
