Currently, Imec has decided to launch a strategic initiative called SmartPilotLines aligned with an Industry 4.0 based ambition for accelerated efficiency gains in both cleanroom operations and research support. As part of this program, we started with the definition of a future (conceptual) architecture for the OT and IT building blocks supporting this ambition. Examples include: dispatcher, recipe management system, load & go automations, ... We will be designing and implementing each of the components in this architecture over the coming years.  . 

What you will do

You will be working in Imec's FAB department

You will participate in the SmartPilotLines program with specific product ownership over Equipment Integration and Performance. (as referenced in the applicable SEMI standards (E5, E30, E4, E37, E10) .

For this role, you will:  

  • Act as single point of contact for a product or transformation in your domain.  
  • Able to act a as a guru for anything related to Equipment Integration and Performance .
  • Able to execute integrations and automations on tools side in close cooperation with Tool Engineers and ICT counterparts .
  • Maintain an overview and report-out on the status of the deployments .
  • Steer internal and external resource to setup the integrations, yet also be able to these yourself .
  • Define and communicate the product vision together with the program manager FAB automation.  
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the product under your responsibility that supports the company's strategic goals.  
  • Elicit and document clear and concise product requirements based on collaboration with stakeholders, including manufacturing, engineering, and business teams.  
  • Deliver value through improvements or feature augmentation in a value oriented and business agile approach to mitigate solution uncertainty.  
  • Champion user-centric design principles to ensure products meet end-users' needs and expectations.  
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to drive product improvements.  
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize value and ensure timely delivery of features.  
  • Support in the design of processes and (software) solutions.  
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, fostering effective communication and understanding.  
  • Build up a network with the business and our development partners.  
  • Support change management actions (communication, training, go live support).  
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.  
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions for enhancements.  
  • Work in a cross-functional team that effectively works together towards a solution, bringing in all the expertise needed from all stakeholders: FAB ICT team, Fab business, tool suppliers, ICT infrastructure teams, development partners.  
  • Embrace and promote Agile methodologies, participating in different Agile routines.

Who you are

  • You already have several years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a production environment, preferably (semiconductor) production / manufacturing system implementations. Your background allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with this business and IT processes.  
  • You have experience with Equipment Integration and Performance, ideally also sith simulating this integration.
  • You are familiar with the concepts of station controller and messages busses .
  • You can work independently and in team. With your no-nonsense attitude, you coordinate with the team to get the job done.  
  • Your strong analytic and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret customer requirements and issues.  
  • You have strong communication skills, allowing you to build good relationships with stakeholders from different imec business units and the development partner.  
  • You are persistent and take initiative when needed.  
  • You have fluent knowledge of both Dutch and English.  
  • You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment.
