Optical researcher in the field of integrated photonics.

What you will do

We are searching for a motivated senior photonics expert. This person will work on the development of integrated, solid-state photonic systems. While strong technical contributions are expected, we are also looking for someone who can be responsible for projects.

Your main tasks will be:

• Design integrated photonic systems using analytical design techniques as well as simulation tools.
• Form part of an integrated photonics team and collaborate on projects requiring optics.
• Be responsible for projects and/or work packages.
• Contribute to definition of new projects or concepts.
• Contribute to funded proposal definition.

Who you are

• You have a PhD or postdoc in photonics or related fields, and at least 3 years of industrial experience.
• A good understanding of general concepts in physics is required, especially in optics or electromagnetics.
• Good knowledge of III/V material systems is a plus.
• You are experienced in managing projects or work packages.
• You can work independently, as well as function effectively within a team.
• You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
