YOUR TASKS

• You will assist in the practice-based teaching at the department, specifically the organisation, coaching and evaluation of multilateral negotiations in the context of the course diplomatic law
• You provide guidance to master theses
• You contribute to the service delivery of the department

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a degree of Master in Law or an equivalent degree. The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment. For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted
• You are involved in other professional activities and/or you have demonstrable experience that may contribute to the quality of the practice-based teaching at the department
• You are interested in a teaching assignment in the field concerned
• Any teaching experience is recommended
• You have an excellent active knowledge of English and Dutch

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you an appointment until 1 September 2026, which will not be renewed. Attention: You cannot be appointed for a cumulative percentage of more than 30% as a Teaching Assistant at Ghent University
• Your appointment will start on 1 October 2024 at the earliest.
• Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP3. More information about our salary scales
