This position will report directly to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy

Job description, duties, and responsibilities:

• Teach pharmacy lab courses (Dosage forms, Pharmacology, and/or Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical analysis) in support and under supervision of faculty.
• Set up equipment and materials for the lab sessions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of lab inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Arrange purchase orders for lab materials and supplies, and lab budget.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of all lab protocols and procedures, and safety rules.
• Contribute to the research activities and initiate research projects.
• Attend technical trainings as deemed necessary.
• Be involved in assessment and committee work at the College of Pharmacy and AUIB.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a Pharmacy-related domain from a reputable college/university. (Note: Applicants with a PhD will be considered overqualified for this position.)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a college/university setting.
• Experience in teaching Dosage forms, Pharmacology, and/or Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical analysis labs will be highly considered.
• Experience in working with animals will be highly considered.
• Active engagement in research, including recent publications in indexed journals.
• Familiarity with American system of higher education.
• Ability to work and coordinate with faculty and other lab instructors as member of a team.
• Ability to interact effectively with students, supervise and guide them in the lab.
• Strong computer skills, English communication skills, and good time management skills.
