JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION The PhD candidate will join the distributed computing research team DALGO, the PhD is fully funded by the PEPR project Trustinclouds.

The selected candidate will work to solve theoretical problems and design distributed/concurrent algorithms with the objective to contribute in understanding the impact on computability and complexity of ensuring privacy in fundamental distributed tasks. 

The position does not include any teaching obligation, but teaching on a voluntary basis can be arranged.

WHAT WE OFFER: Salary, and the opportunity to work with French and international experts in the distributed computing research community. The PhD is funded by a PEPR project concerning distributed computing, cryptography, formal methods and machine learning. Thus, the selected candidate will also have the opportunity to interact with experts of these domains.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED RESEARCH FIELDS, REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, OTHER RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS 
The successful applicant holds or is about to finish a Master's degree in computer science (with a theoretical focus) or mathematics. He/she has to be motivated by academic research and have a broad background in computer science.
